Mr. Weidner studied precision engineering at the Glashütte/Sachs Engineering School and completed a postgraduate course in intellectual property law at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

He has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 1975. Mr. Weidner previously worked for a large office and information technology company, where he held the position of head of the patent department.

Authorised representative before the European Patent Office and the EUIPO

In 1993, Mr. Weidner established himself as a patent attorney. In 2003, Mr. Weidner joined forces with patent attorney Wolfgang Stern, forming the WEIDNER STERN law firm. Mr. Weidner is also a professional representative before the European Patent Office and the EUIPO (trademarks, designs, and models).
